Customization is “in” again. For Katherine Berquin it is more than a trend, it is a state of mind of the purest carats.
For more than 20 years, she has been creating jewelry that seamlessly matches the wishes and personality of her customers.
That is why no jewel is the same, all her creations excel in originality, without being bling bling.
After working in the shadows for almost two decades, this jewelry designer from Brussels opened her own showroom-atelier in 2016, near the Grand Sablon in Brussels.
This eclectic neighborhood is the ideal home for this jewel house and has been built on unbridled creativity and years of know-how in the field of gemstones.
The space is sober, elegant and at the same time warmly decorated.
This showroom fully reflects the designer’s personality and, by extension, the style of her “modular” jewelry.

About Katherine
Owner and Head of Design
During the summer of 1995, in the mountains of Switzerland, Katherine reconnected with her childhood dream of becoming a jewelry designer. Over the next four years, she developed her expertise in goldsmithing and jewelry creation techniques, gemmology, and the management of jewelry stores.
Her academic journey took her through various prestigious institutions: she studied gemmology and diamond grading at HRD in Antwerp, Belgium, jewelry store management at the CFH Institute in Lausanne, Switzerland, and goldsmithing and jewelry creation at TNA in Brussels, Belgium. Additionally, she pursued Germanic languages at KUB in Brussels.
Katherine’s natural talents further enhance her expertise—her keen eye for detail ensures precision in creation and production, her deep connection with stones allows her to “listen” to them, and her passionate, quick-minded nature enables her to see possibilities that others might overlook.
Today, she brings this unique combination of skills to her daily work. It is rare for a designer to possess both goldsmithing and gemmology knowledge, giving her an exceptional understanding of what is technically possible and the distinctive characteristics of various gemstones.
